Skittlers of the week – Open League w/c 8 Oct

Top score in the Open League was M Jeans of Wareham Legionaires with 73 at the Wareham Legion. The highest team score was 471 by Section B leaders Essentials in their 67-pins victory over Ray & Ken’s Yokels at the Spitfire Club. The highest hand was 83 by Barmy Army at the Goldies .

Team performances of the week
Section A: JOLLY GREEN GIANTS  – Jolly Green Giants got their first win of the season beating Patriots away at the Goldies by 2-pins, hitting 436.
Section B: ESSENTIALS  – Essentials hit 471 to stay top of Section B and beat Yokels by 67-pins at the Spitfire Club.
Section C: UNTOUCHABLES  – Untouchables won a close match at the Bladen Club, beating Wool Misfits by 9-pins, hitting 393
Section D: SWAN ABBOTS  – Swan Abbots hit 430 at Tom Browns to beat Huntsmen by 29-pins.

Skittlers of the week – Ladies w/c 8 Oct

Top score in the Ladies League was Jen Sims of Oakettes with 63 at the Royal Oak, Bere Regis. The highest team score was 432 by Oakettes in their 24-pins victory over Colliton Ladybirds, and Oakettes also hit the highest hand of the week with 69. The highest stick up was 18 by Jen Sims.

Team performance of the week: THE EASY BEATS
The Easy Beats who are new to the league this season got their first ever victory after four straight defeats, hitting 371 at the Victoria Hotel to beat Super Colli-Ders by 45-pins.

Skittlers of the week – Knockout Cup 1st round w/c 1 Oct

Top score in the Knockout Cup was Steve Shear of Wareham Legionaires with 74 at the Wareham Legion.
Swankers from Section B produced the team performance of the round by beating last season’s Section A champions Skimmers away at the Bulls Head  by 4-pins hitting 483. Dewlish Monsters were also knocked out by a B section team as Alcotops won by 31-pins away at the Royal Oak, Milborne St.Andrew against their Section A opponents. The third Section A side to lose to lower league opposition was Half Pints who were beaten by Jokers of Section C at the Victoria Hotel by 2-pins.
There were also notable wins for three Section C teams who all beat B section teams, Plodders had a fine win over Brewers Bees on alley two at the Trinity Club hitting 370 to notch a 17-pins victory, while both Hotshots and Colliton Spares won away at the Victoria Hotel against Vic Reeves and Top Pins respectively.
Four Section D teams had wins over Section C opponents, there was three home wins as Strugglers beat Colliton Supertramps at the Goldies by 29-pins, Wareham Legionaires beat Colliton Flingers at the Wareham Legion  by 24-pins, Chaldon Chuckers beat Wool Misfits by 5-pins at the Frampton Arms, Moreton, while Merrymen won away on alley two at the Trinity Club to Villians by 12-pins.

Top scores in the D&DSL were Stuart Brown of Breakaways at the Wool RBL and C Hulkerston of Essentials at the Bulls Head both with 72.
The highest team score was 477 by Puddletown Wanderers at the Spitfire Club, 477 is the highest score so far this season, Wanderers won by 20-pins and became the first team to beat Half Pints this season. The highest hand was 83 by Dewlish Monsters against Colliton Imps on alley two at the Colliton Club.

Team performances of the week
Section A: PATRIOTS  – Patriots won away to Woodmen by 41 at the Royal Oak, Milborne St.Andrew hitting 435, the highest score on the Oak alley this season.
Section B: TOP PINS  – Top Pins won their first match of the season hitting 426 to beat Mrs Browns Boys by 24-pins at Tom Browns.
Section C: COLLITON REBELS  – Colliton Rebels hit 425 at the Victoria Hotel to beat previously unbeaten Hotshots by 45-pins.
Section D: CHALDEN CHUCKERS  – Chaldon Chuckers won by 17-pins at the Goldies against Strugglers, hitting 399.

Top score in the Ladies League was Mari Fowler of Devils with 70 at Dorchester Town Football Club. The highest team score was 377 by league leaders Mix Ups at the Goldies. The highest hand was 68 by Oakettes at the Victoria Hotel. The highest stick up was 15 by Mari Fowler of Devils who hit two 15’s.

Team performance of the week: COLLITON LADYBIRDS – Colliton Ladybirds got their first win of the season by 13-pins, hitting 369 away to Wonder Women on alley one at the Colliton Club.

Skittlers of the week – Open League w/c 17 Sept

Top score in the Open League was M Coward of Jokers with 75 on alley one at the Colliton Club. The highest team score was 463 by Half Pints who remain unbeaten after beating Hammers by 46-pins at the Bulls Head in Section A, and the Half Pints also notched the highest hand of the week , finishing with 80.

Section A: BARMY ARMY  – Barmy Army hit 451 at the Goldies to beat Breakaways by 32-pins, 451 is the highest score at the Goldies this season and it was Breakaways first defeat of the season.
Section B: ALCOTOPS  – Alcotops became the first team to hit over 400 at DTFC this season, their 411 total gave them a 36-pins victory over previously unbeaten Hartstoppers.
Section C: JOKERS  – Jokers remain unbeaten after beating Colliton Rebels by 40-pins on alley one at the Colliton Club, Jokers total of 439 is both the highest in the Section C and the highest on alley one so far this season.
Section D: WAREHAM LEGIONAIRES  – Wareham Legionaires finally got to play a match after having a bye in the first week and then a team cancel against them in the second week, and a total of 407 at the Wareham Legion gave them a 10-pins victory over Puddletown Nomads who had won both of their opening matches.

Skittlers of the week – Ladies w/c 17 Sept

Top score in the Ladies League was Becky Homewood of Devils with 68 on alley one at the Colliton Club. The highest team score was 398 by Crackerjacs on alley two at the Colliton Club. The highest hand was 70 by Mix Ups on alley one at the Trinity Club. The highest stick up was 15 by three players, Becky Homewood of Devils, Ali Clark of Mix Ups and K Curtis of Woodpeckers.

Team performance of the week: Mix Ups – League leaders Mix Ups hit 362 on alley one at the Trinity Club as they kept up their unbeaten start to the season with a 63-pins victory over Super Colli-Ders.

Skittlers of the week – Open League w/c 10 Sept

Top score in the Dorchester and District Skittles League was Ryan Hopton of Breakaways with 82 at the Wool RBL. The highest team score was 465 by Frampton Rollers of Section D in their 59-pins victory over Ship Wrecked at the Frampton Arms, Moreton. The highest hand was 78 by Half Pints, who started the match with that score against Colliton Imps and went onto win the match by 30-pins on alley two at the Colliton Club.

Section A: SKIMMERS – Champions Skimmers made it two wins out of two with an impressive score of 436 on alley three at the Trinity Club as they beat Jolly Green Giants by 72-pins, with Adam Steele finishing with three stick ups in a row to score 75.
Section B: HARTSTOPPERS – Hartstoppers hit 432 in their home victory on alley two at the Colliton Club against Vic ReeveS, with 68 from C Bascombe and A Fowler.
Section C: MAGPIE IMPS – Magpie Imps got their first win of the season hitting 396 at Dorchester Football Club to beat Colliton Supertramps by 32-pins.
Section D: FRAMPTON ROLLERS – Frampton Rollers hit the leagues highest score of the season so far with 465 at the Frampton Arms, Moreton.

Skittlers of the week – Ladies w/c 10 Sept

Top score in the Ladies League was Kelly Godden of Breezers with 58 on alley two at the Trinity Club. The highest team score was 382 hit by two teams, Wonder Women on alley one at the Colliton Club and Vixens on alley two at the Colliton Club. The Vixens also notched the highest hand of the week hitting 61. The highest stick up of the week was 13 by Melanie Cope of Woodpeckers at the Goldies.

Team performance of the week: Wonder Women – Last seasons champions Crackerjacs were beaten by 23-pins by Wonder Women.

Top score in the League was Mark Slade of Half Pints with 80 at the Bulls Head. The highest team score was 464 by Half Pints, while 84 was the highest hand by both Half Pints at the Bulls Head and Tom Browns Bullocks at the Wool RBL.

Section A: ROYAL OAK WANDERERS – Royal Oak Wanderers won away by 41-pins against Dewlish Monsters at the Royal Oak, Milborne St Andrew hitting 430.
Section B: VIC REEVES – Vic Reeves won their first home match of the season hitting 431 at the Victoria Hotel in their 30-pins victory over Yokels.
Section C: TOM BROWNS BULLOCKS – A second hand of 84 was the difference in the match between Wool Misfits and Tom Browns Bullocks, the visitors winning by 26-pins.
Section D: DRIBS ‘N’ DRABS – Dribs ‘n’ Drabs hit 400 on alley 3 at the Trinity Club beating Strugglers by 59-pins.
