Skittlers of the week – Open League w/c 3 Dec

Top score in the open League was Sam Green of Jolly Green Giants with 73 on alley two at the Colliton Club. The highest team score 478 by Jolly Green Giants in their 18-pins victory over Colliton Imps. The highest hand was 84 by Skimmers at the Bulls Head.

Team performances of the week
Section A: JOLLY GREEN GIANTS – Jolly Green Giants hit 478 which is the highest score on alley two at the Colliton Club this season. They started with three hands of 79,79 and 83, with both Sam Green and Malc Hallett hitting a hat-trick of stick ups.
Section B: RAY & KEN’S OLD SPICE YOKELS – Yokels hit 370 as they beat Brewers Bees by 15-pins. 370 is the highest score hit by a Section B side on alley two at the Trinity Club this season. 
Section C: JOKERS – Jokers hit 413 in their 28-pins victory away to Untouchables, 413 is the highest score hit at the Bladen Club this season.  
Section D: WAREHAM LEGIONAIRES   – Wareham Legionaires won by 54-pins hitting 424 in their away victory over Chaldon Chuckers, the venue was switched from Frampton Arms to Goldies.

Skittlers of the week – Ladies w/c 3 Dec

Top score in the Ladies League was Jen Sims of Oakettes with 68 at the Royal Oak, Bere Regis. The highest team score was 460 by Oakettes at the Royal Oak, Bere Regis, and the Oakettes also notched the highest hand of the week finishing their match with a score of 84. The highest stick up was 15 hit by ?? players, Theresa Rogers and Jen Sims both of Oakettes at the Royal Oak, Bere Regis. While in the same match on alley one at the Colliton Club both Lindsay Adams of Wonder Women and Maggs Edwards of Mix Ups also hit a 15 stick up.

Oakettes had their best score of the season 460, which is also the highest in the Ladies League this season, they also recorded the highest hand of the season when they hit 84 on the last hand of their match with Devils at the Royal Oak, Bere Regis

Top score in the Open League was Brian Keegan of Barmy Army with 73 at Goldies. The highest team score was 483 by Barmy Army in their 85-pins victory over Dewliah Monsters. the highest hand was 82 by Colliton Chimps on alley two at the Colliton Club.

Section A: BARMY ARMY – Barmy Army’s score of 483 is the highest hit at the Goldies this season.
Section B: ALCOTOPS – Alcotops beat Section B leaders Essentials away by 17-pins hitting 446 at the Spitfire Club.
Section C: COLLITON SUPERTRAMPS – Colliton Supertramps hit 432 to beat Colliton Rebels by 40-pins, 432 is the second highest score hit by a Section C side on alley one at the Colliton Club this season.
Section D: MERRYMEN – Merrymen beat Section D leaders Puddletown Nomads by 7-pins in a close match at the Frampton Arms.

Skittlers of the week – Ladies w/c 26 Nov

Top score in the Ladies League was Angie Courtney of Crackerjacs with 57 on alley two at the Colliton Club. The highest team score was 386 by Crackerjacs, and last seasons champions also notched the highest hand of the week with 67. The highest stick up of the week was 16 by Monica Kimber of Crackerjacs.

Crackerjacs hit 386 the second highest score by a ladies team on alley two at the Colliton Club this season, the highest score is 398, which the Crackerjacs hit back in September when they beat Colliton Ladybirds.

Skittlers of the week – Open League w/c 19 Nov

Top score in the Open League was Sam Napper of Puddletown Wanderers with 74 at the Spitfire Club, Crossways. The highest team score was 505 by Puddletown Wanderers, the score is the highest in the league this season, and Wanderers also notched the highest hand of the week with 83.

Team performances of the week
Section A: PUDDLETOWN WANDERERS – Puddletown Wanderers score of 505 is the highest in the league this season so far and consisted of the following hands, 75, 69, 74, 72, 75, 83 and 57. Wanderers beat Wide Boys by 28-pins, with captain Sam Napper leading the way with 74.
Section B: ALCOTOPS – Alcotops hit 432 at Dorchester Town Football Club, which is the highest score on the alley by any team this season, they beat Chimps by 46-pins.
Section C: VILLAINS – Villains won away to Wool Misfits by 45-pins, their total of 411 is the highest so far hit at the Wool Legion by a Section C team this season.
Section D: SWAN ABBOTS – Swan Abbots won a close match away to Merrymen by 11-pins hitting 399, the win puts Abbots in third place, two points above Merrymen.

Skittlers of the week – Ladies League w/c 19 Nov

Top score in the ladies league was Jane Fairless of Mix Ups with 64 at the Spitfire Club, Crossways. The highest team score was 410 by Mix Ups. The highest hand was 65 by Devils at the Victoria Hotel. The highest stick up was 16 by two players, Julia Newton of Crackerjacs at the Victoria Hotel and Kirsten Otter of Woodpeckers on alley two at the Trinity Club.

Team performance of the week: MIX UPS
Mix Ups hit 410 in their 75-pins victory over Westenders, 410 is the highest score hit at the Spitfire Club in the Ladies League this season.

Skittlers of the week – Knockout Cup 2nd round w/c 12 Nov

Top score in the second round of the Knockout Cup was Liam Gosney of Colliton Imps with 74 at the Goldies.

Colliton Imps produced the team performance of the round in their all Section A clash at the Goldies against Barmy Army. Imps were leading by 15-pins going into the last hand only for Barmy Army to finish with 78 to leave the visitors 64 to win, a thirteen stick up from Liam Gosney bolstered the Colliton outfits hand, and Imps came back with a score of 73 to win the match by 10-pins.

Alcotops from Section B won away to Heathens of Section A at the Trinity Club on alley three by 8-pins with anchor man Mike House hitting an impressive top score of 72. Swankers were another Section B side who knocked out Section A opponents, their match with Hammers on alley one at the Trinity Club ended in a draw with the game going into a extra hand, which Swankers won by 5-pins.

Two Section D sides progressed to the next round knocking out teams from higher sections, Strugglers beat Colliton Spares of Section B at the Goldies, while Merrymen won away to Unpredictable Strimmers of Section C on alley one at the Trinity Club. A third Section D side made it to the last sixteen, Wareham Legionaires hit 439 as they beat fellow D section side Dribs ‘n’ Drabs at the Wareham Legion.

Skittlers of the week – Open League w/c 5 Nov

Top score in the Open League was Stan Hallett of Merrymen with 77 at the Frampton Arms. The highest team score was 472 by Merrymen of Section D in their 16-pins victory over Frampton Rollers. The highest hand was by Royal Oak Wanderers as they finished their match against Jolly Green Giants with 83 to win by 17-pins at the Royal Oak, Bere Regis.

Section A: PATRIOTS and SKIMMERS – Patriots and Skimmers played out the first drawn game in Section A this season with both teams hitting 443.
Section B: ESSENTIALS – Leaders Essentials hit 454 against Top Pins at the Spitfire Club to win by 21-pins.
Section C: COLLITON REBELS – Colliton Rebels hit 424 on alley one at the Colliton Club and won by 34-pins against Wool Misfits.
Section D: MERRYMEN – Merrymen hit 472 which is the highest score in Section D so far this season, their score included hands of 75, 76, 71 and 70. Captain Stan Hallett hit 77 which is the highest individual score of the season in Section D.

Skittlers of the week – Ladies w/c 5 Nov

Top score in the Ladies League was Mel Holland of Wonder Women with 55 at the Goldies. The highest team score was 367 by Wonder Women in their 16-pins victory over Woodpeckers at the Goldies. The highest hand was 58 hit by two teams, Woodpeckers at the Goldies and Colli-Cats on alley one at the Colliton Club. The highest stick up was 13 hit by three players, Kerry Herring of Woodpeckers at the Goldies, Maggs Edwards of Mix Ups on alley one at the Trinity Club, and J Miller of Super Colli-ders on alley two at the Colliton Club.

Colli-Cats got their fourth win of the season beating Colliton Ladybirds by 8-pins on alley one at the Colliton Club, hitting 363.

Skittlers of the week – Open League w/c 29 Oct

Top score in the Open League was Terry Macey of Patriots with 77 at the Bulls Head. The highest team score was 498 by Colliton Wide Boys in their 24-pins victory over champions Skimmers at the Bulls Head, and they also notched the highest hand of the week with 96.

Team performances of the week
Section A: COLLITON WIDE BOYS – Colliton Wide Boys hit both the highest team score of the season (498) and the highest hand (96) beating champions Skimmers by 24-pins. Skimmers had hit 93 on the second hand but this was beaten on the fourth hand by Wide Boys, their 96 hand went like this, 9, 9, 15, 16, 11, 12, 15, 9.
Section B: COLLITON CHIMPS – Colliton Chimps hit 474 in their 92-pins victory over Top Pins at the Victoria Hotel. 474 is the highest score hit at the Victoria Hotel this season and also the highest score in Section B by any team so far. Connor Haime was the Chimps star player hitting 75.
Section C: COLLITON FLINGERS – Colliton Flingers won away by 35-pins against Wool Misfits at the Wool RBL, hitting 398.
Section D: STRUGGLERS – Strugglers hit 431, their highest home score of the season as they beat Wareham Legionaires by 72-pins at the Goldies.
