Skittlers of the week – Open League w/c 18 Feb

Top score in the Open League was Kieran Knight of Colliton Imps on alley two at the Colliton Club with 79. The highest team score of the week was 501 and highest hand 86 both hit by Section A leaders Royal Oak Wanderers in their 33-pins victory over Puddletown Wanderers at the Spitfire Club, Crossways.

Team performances of the week
Section A: ROYAL OAK WANDERERS – The Section A leaders had a great night at the Spitfire Club, only falling 4-pins short of this season’s highest team score, which was hit by opponents Puddletown Wanderers at the same venue back in November. Captain Chay Fox led the way hitting 77, remarkably there was only seven stick ups in the Royal Oak’s total compared to Puddletown’s ten. Oak’s 86 on the fifth hand was the best hand of the week, while they started the match with 81.  
Section B: BREWERS BEES – Brewers Bees hit 387, the highest score on alley two at the Trinity Club this season, as they beat Goldies Chimps by 55-pins. Bees anchor man Tony Hewitt hit an impressive 69.  
Section C: UNTOUCHABLES – Untouchables hit 426 which is the highest score hit at the Bladen Club this season, the home side ran out winners by 33-pins against Colliton Supertramps.
Section D: WAREHAM LEGIONAIRES – Wareham Legionaires kept their two point lead at the top of Section D with a 26-pins victory over Merryman at the Frampton Arms, Moreton hitting 425.

Skittlers of the week – Ladies w/c 18 Feb

Top score in the Ladies League were Theresa Rogers of Oakettes at the Royal Oak, Bere Regis and Maggs Edwards of Mix Ups at the Victoria Hotel, both with 62. The highest team score was 397 by league leaders Oakettes in their 66-pins victory over Westenders. The highest hand was 64 by Devils at the Goldies. The highest stick up was 15 by Melanie Cope of Woodpeckers at the Goldies.

Team performance of the week – MIX UPS

 Mix Ups hit 384, which is the second highest score hit at the Victoria Hotel in the Ladies League so far this season. Their 48-pins victory over Crackerjacs keeps the Mix Ups in second place just one point behind leaders Oakettes, Mix Ups twice hit hands of 62. Oddly the Crackerjacs had five players joint top score.

Skittlers of the week – Open League w/c 11 Feb

Top scores in the Open League were Simon Aylott of Patriots at the Goldies and Jason Hallett of Colliton Wide Boys on alley two at the Colliton Club, with 72. The highest team score game in Section B as Hartstoppers hit 478 away to leaders Essentials at the Royal Oak, Bere Regis. The highest hand was 88 by Jolly Green Giants at Goldies.

Team performances of the week
Section A: BARMY ARMY – Barmy Army hit 466 at Goldies to beat Jolly Green Giants by 23-pins, on the fifth hand the Army hit 77. Although they lost Giants hit 88 on the last hand.
Section B: HARTSTOPPERS – Leaders Essentails had to switch their home game to the Royal Oak, Bere Regis because the Spitfire was unavailable. Although it was opponents Hartstoppers that shone on the night hitting the highest score in Section B so far this season, 478 winning by 28-pins, all eight players got at least one stick up and on the fourth hand the Hartstoppers hit 85.
Section C: COLLITON SPARES – Colliton Spares score of 417 is the highest score hit at the Bladen Club this season, the Spares beat Untouchables by 13-pins.
Section D: DRIBS ‘n’ DRABS – Dribs ‘n’ Drabs hit 391 away to Ship Wrecked winning by 19-pins and hitting 70 on the last hand. The Drabs had hit 394 at the Old Ship, Upwey earlier in the season in the first round of the cup. Both these scores have only been beaten twice all season at the Old Ship.

Skittlers of the week – Ladies 11 Feb

Top score in the Ladies League was Jen Sims of Oakettes with 68 at the Royal Oak, Bere Regis. The highest team score was 405 by league leaders Oakettes. The highest hand was 70 by Colliton Ladybirds, who hit 70 twice at the Spitfire Club, Crossways. The highest stick up was 17 by Jen Sims.

 
Team performance of the week – COLLITON LADYBIRDS

Colliton Ladybirds hit 399 at the Spitfire Club, Crossways in their 38-pins victory over Westenders. Ladybirds started with a hand of 70 and repeated the feat on the fifth hand as well, 399 is the second highest score hit at the Spitfire in the Ladies League this season.

Top score in the Open League was Terry Whittaker of Wareham Legionaires with 72 at the Frampton Arms, Moreton. The highest team score was 480 by Section A leaders Skimmers away to Half Pints at the Bulls Head.The highest hand was 83 by Wareham Legionaires of Section D .

Section A: PUDDLETOWN WANDERERS – Puddletown Wanderers beat Breakaways by 15-pins hitting 472 at the Spitfire Club, Crossways
Section B: BREWERS BEES – Brewers Bees hit their highest home score of the season 373 on alley two at the Trinity Club in a close 6-pins victory over Alcotops.
Section C: COLLITON FLINGERS – Colliton Flingers won by 37-pins away to Section C leaders Tom Brown Bullocks hitting 426.
Section D: WAREHAM LEGIONAIRES – Wareham Legionaires won the top of the table clash away to Frampton Rollers by 44-pins, starting the match with a 83 hand and hitting 462.

Skittlers of the week – Ladies w/c 4 Feb

Top score in the Ladies League was Kerry Nottley of Wonder Women with 64 on alley one at the Colliton Club. The highest team score 378 by Devils in their 2-pins victory away to Wonder Women on alley one at the Colliton Club, while in the same match Wonder Women started the match with 62 which was the highest hand of the week. The highest stick up was 15 by Sheila Cummins of Breezers on alley two at the Trinity Club.

Team performance of the week – COLLITON LADYBIRDS

Colliton Ladybirds won a close match at home against Oakettes who slipped down to second spot in the table, Ladybirds won by 4-pins hitting 58 on the last hand.

Skittlers of the week – Open League w/c 28 Jan

Top score in the Open League was Simon Ross of Dewlish Monsters with 70 at the Royal Oak, Milborne St Andrew. The highest team score was 452 by Skimmers at the Bulls Head in their 24-pins victory over Hammers, the away side Hammers had started the match with 79 which was the highest hand of the week.

Section A: DEWLISH MONSTERS – Dewlish Monsters hit 450, which is the highest score at the Royal Oak, Milborne St Andrew this season, captain Simon Ross hit 70 as the home side beat Colliton Imps by 30-pins.
Section B: STEAMERS – Steamers hit 375 on alley one at the Trinity Club as they beat Swankers by 25-pins, 375 is the second best score hit by an away team against Swankers this season, only beat by league leaders Essentials who hit 385 back in September.  
Section C: COLLITON SUPERTRAMPS – After back to back draws Colliton Supertramps got both the points beating Unpredictable Strimmers by 26-pins hitting 429 on alley one at the Colliton Club.
Section D: DRIBS ‘N’ DRABS – Dribs ‘n’ Drabs kept themselves in touch with the Section D leaders by beating Frampton Fumblers away by 23-pins hitting 400 at the Frampton Arms.

Skittlers of the week – Ladies w/c 28 Jan

Top score in the Ladies League was Julia Newton of Crackerjacs with 66 at the Royal Oak, Bere Regis. The highest team score was 418 by Crackerjacs, and Jacs also notched the highest hand starting the match with 66. The highest stick up was 17 from Jen Sims at the Royal Oak, Bere Regis.

Crackerjacs became only the second team to beat league leaders Oakettes, and the first away team to beat Oakettes at the Royal Oak, Bere Regis this season.
