Legionaires head to Section B

Wareham Legionaires have won Section C and will be heading to Section B two years late. The Wareham outfit were undefeated in the ill-fated 19-20 season before Covid struck and the season was null and voided. When skittles resumed Legionaires were still in Section C so had to do it all again. Four straight victories saw them top the table and although Magpie Imps went to the Legion and forced a draw the side carried on and won the next five matches to take control of Section C. Wareham’s only defeat came at the Goldies at the start of the second half of the season when Top Pins beat them. But since that defeat there has been no looking back and seven wins on the bounce including a 35-pins victory away to nearest challengers Magpie Imps have seen them deservedly win the section. Their recent score of 485 at the Wareham legion on the 28th February is the highest team score in Section C this season.

Wareham Legionaires joined the league in 2012 playing in Section D and in the 18-19 season won Section D only losing 4 of their 24 matches.
