Skittlers of the week – Open League w/c 1 April

Top score in the Open League was Andy Brown of Woodmen with 74 at the Bulls Head. the highest team score was 480 by Section D champions Wareham Legionaires as they clinched the title with a 85-pins victory over Ship Wrecked at the Old Ship Inn, Upwey. Legionaires also notched the highest hand of the week with 84.


Team performances of the week
Section A: DEWLISH MONSTERS – Dewlish Monsters saved themselves from relegation hitting 410 on their Royal Oak alley to beat Breakaways by 25-pins.
Section B: MRS BROWNS BOYS – Mrs Browns Boys finished the season with a fine score of 448 at Tom Browns to beat Muckspreaders by 19-pins.
Section C: VILLAINS – Villains hit 368 on alley two at the Trinity Club in their relegation match with Plodders, their 35-pins victory kept them up and sent Plodders down.
Section D: WAREHAM LEGIONAIRES – The champions signed off in style hitting the highest score in Section D of the season, their 480 gave them a 85-pins victory at the Old Ship Inn, Upwey against Ship Wrecked.

Skittlers of the week – Ladies w/c 1 April

Top score in the Ladies League was Kelly Mitchell of Oakettes with 69 at the Royal Oak, Bere Regis. Oakettes hit both the highest team score and the highest hand of the week, 427 and 68, while Kelly hit the highest stick up of the week with a 17.

Team performance of the week – OAKETTES

Oakettes clinched the Ladies League hitting 427 to win by 76-pins to finish two points ahead of Vixens.

Skittlers of the week – Open League w/c 25 March

Top scores in the Open League were Rodney Smith of Country Boys at the Soitfire Club, Crossways and Phil Sibley of Funseekers at the Frampton Arms, Moreton both with 75. The highest team score was 467 by Section B champions Essentials in their 32-pins victory over Country Boys at the Soitfire Club, Crossways. The highest hand was 83 by Funseekers of Section D at the Frampton Arms, Moreton.

Team performances of the week
Section A: BREAKAWAYS – Breakaways beat Section A leaders Skimmers by 9-pins as both Clive Williams (15) and Ryan Hopton (14) hit stick ups on the final hand to help the Wool outfit to victory. The Breakaways hit 447 which is their highest home score of the season.
Section B: ALCOTOPS – Alcotops clinched promotion to Section A with an 8-pins victory away to Swankers on alley one at the Trinity Club hitting 378.
Section C: HOTSHOTS – Hotshots kept themselves in with a chance of promotion hitting 439 which is their highest home score of the season as they beat Wool Misfits by 74-pins.
Section D: FRAMPTON ROLLERS – Frampton Rollers clinched promotion with yet another big score at the Frampton Arms, they beat Funseekers by 40-pins hitting 460.

Skittlers of the week – Ladies w/c 25 March

Top score in the Ladies League was Kelly Hedges of The Easy Beats with 63 at the Victoria Hotel. The highest team score was 365 by Woodpeckers in their 5-pins victory over Crackerjacs at the Goldies. The highest hand was 63 by Crackerjacs at the Goldies. The highest stick up was 15 by three players, Kirsten Otter of Woodpeckers and Angie Courtney of Crackerjacs
both at the Goldies, and Heather Langdown of Colli-Cats on alley one at the Colliton Club.

Team performance of the week – OAKETTES

Oakettes stayed two points clear at the top of the table with a 37-pins victory over Devils at Dorchester Town Football Club hitting 357.

Skittlers of the week – Open League w/c 18 March

Top score in the Open League was Ryan Green of Jolly Green Giants with 77 at the Spitfire Club, Crossways. The highest team score was 464 by Half Pints in their 3-pins win against Breakaways at the Bulls Head. The highest hand was 83 by Patriots on alley two at the Colliton Club.

Team performances of the week
Section A: WOODMEN – Bottom side Woodmen came from 24-pins behind after two hands to win by 11-pins away against Colliton Imps on alley two at the Colliton Club, Woodmen hit 458 including 81 on the fourth hand. Woodmen will need two more wins and hope results go their way if they are to avoid the drop.
Section B: MRS BROWNS BOYS – Mrs Browns Boys hit their highest score at home this season 462 as they beat Hartstoppers 20-pins. The Tom Browns outfit started the match with a hand of 79.
Section C: COLLITON SUPERTRAMPS – Supertramps beat promotion hopefuls Colliton Rebels by 28-pins hitting 435 on alley one at the Colliton Club, Tramps started the match with a 69 hand and also hit 71 on the third hand as they took an early lead.
Section D: FRAMPTON FUMBLERS – Fumblers beat league leaders Wareham Legionaires by 16-pins hitting 411, trailing by 12-pins with two hands to go the Fumblers hit hands of 65 and 66 on their Frampton Arms alley to win the match.

Skittlers of the week – Ladies League w/c 18 March

Top score in the Ladies League was Jen Sims of Oakettes with 61 at the Royal Oak, Bere Regis. The highest team score was 413 by Oakettes, and the leaders also hit the highest hand of the week with 70. The highest stick up was 18 by Jen Sims.

Team performance of the week – WESTENDERS

Westenders hit 393 which their highest home score of the season in their 11-pins victory over Colli-Cats, with both teams hitting hands of 50 plus all night at the Spitfire Club, Crossways.

Top score in the Open League was Chris Harris of Colliton Muckspreaders with 74 at the Bulls Head. The highest team score was 460 by Frampton Rollers of Section D at the Frampton Arms. The highest hand was 77 hit by two teams, Colliton Muckspreaders at the Bulls Head, and Strugglers at the Frampton Arms.

Team performances of the week
Section A: WOODMEN – Woodmen hit 427 which is their highest home score hit this season at their Royal Oak, Milborne alley, the 24-pins victory over Jolly Green Giants keeps their slim hopes of avoiding relegation alive.
Section B: COLLITON MUCKSPREADERS – Muckspreaders eased their relegation worries with a 20-pins victory away to Wurzels at the Bulls Head. Spreaders hit 450 and finished the match with a 77 hand, and had Chris Harris top score with 74.
Section C: WOOL MISFITS – Wool Misfits climbed off of the bottom of the table by backing up their earlier win in a rearranged game on Wednesday by beating fellow relegation rivals Villains by 21-pins on alley two at the Trinity Club on Friday hitting 351.
Section D: FRAMPTON ROLLERS– Frampton Rollers were 14-pins down at home to Strugglers with three hands to go, but the Rollers finished strong with scores of 74, 62 and 72 to win by 26-pins to stay in second place hitting 460.

Skittlers of the week – Ladies w/c 11 March

Top score in the Ladies League was Becky Homewood of Devils with 62 at Dorchester Town Football Club. The highest team score was 384 by Devils. The highest hand was 64 by The Easy Beats at the Victoria Hotel. The highest stick up was 15 by two players, Becky of Devils at the Football Club and Angela Hambidge of Colliton Ladybirds at the Victoria Hotel.

Team performance of the week – DEVILS

Devils hit 384 which is the highest score hit by a ladies team this season at Dorchester Town Football Club as they beat Crackerjacs by 38-pins. The win keeps Devils in third place two points behind the leaders.

Skittlers of the week – Open League w/c 4 March

Top scores in the Open League were Ryan Hopton of Breakaways on alley two at the Colliton Club, Alan Greet of Puddletown Wanderers at the Spitfire Club, Crossways and David Potter of Hotshots at Tom Browns with 69. The highest team score was 466 by Half Pints in their 7-pins victory over Barmy Army at the Bulls Head. The highest hand was 77 by Colliton Imps on alley two at the Colliton club. Ryan Hopton of Breakaways hit the highest stick up of the season when he notched a 22 on alley two at the Colliton Club.

Section A: JOLLY GREEN GIANTS – Jolly Green Giants are in excellent form and hit 411 on alley three at the Trinity Club to beat title contenders Royal Oak Wanderers by 15-pins
Section B: BREWERS BEES – Brewers Bees hit 385 on alley two at the Trinity Club, which is just 2-pins short of their best home score this season, Bees beat Swankers by 59-pins.
Section C: UNPREDICTABLE STRIMMERS – Unpredictable Strimmers hit 401 on alley one at the Trinity Club which is their best home score of the season as they beat Jokers by 49-pins.
Section D: WAREHAM LEGIONAIRES– The section leaders hit 419 on alley three at the Trinity Club which is the highest score hit on that alley by a Section D team this season, Legionaires beat Dribs ‘n’ Drabs by 81-pins.

Skittlers of the week- Ladies w/c 4 March

Top score in the Ladies League was Theresa Rogers Oakettes with 74 at the Royal Oak, Bere Regis, which is the highest individual score of the season so far in the Ladies League. Oakettes notched both the highest team score of the week and highest hand with 408 and 68. The highest stick up was 15, hit twice by Theresa Rogers in her score of 74 and also once by S Bridle of Westenders at the Spitfire Club, Crossways.

Team performance of the week – VIXENS

Vixens stayed joint top with Oakettes with a 40-pins victory over Westenders at the Spitfire Club, Crossways hitting 407 which is the second highest score hit at the Spitfire Club this season in the Ladies League.
