Section B run in – Monsters lead the way

Dewlish Monsters are 4 points clear of second placed Trinity Allsorts with both teams having four games to play. Third placed Magpie Imps with also four games to play trail Allsorts by 2 points and also would lose out if both teams finished level as Allsorts have a better head to head when the teams met during the season. Fourth placed Wafflers only have three games left so would need both Allsorts and Magpies to lose some matches to give them any chance of a runners up place.

Dewlish Monsters 38pts – Hartstoppers (A), Giants (H), Steamers (A), Bullocks (H)

Trinity Allsorts 34pts – Steamers (A), Bullocks (H), Swankers (A), Muckspreaders (A)

Colliton Magpie Imps 32pts – Giants (A), Steamers (H), Bullocks (A), Swankers (H)

The Wafflers 30pts – Muckspreaders (H), Plodders (H), BYE, Yokels (H)

At the bottom Hartstoppers are already relegated with just 6 points to their name. Above them four teams are separated by just 3 points. Plodders currently occupy the other relegation spot on 16pts and have also yet to have their bye. Muckspreaders are on 17pts and play Plodders away in the penultimate week of the season. Steamers are on 18pts and Yokels are on 19pts but both have four games to play against teams in the top half of the section. Two teams are due for the drop and that yet may become three given that we lost a team out of Section C during the season.

Yokels 19pts – Alcotops (H), Country Boys (A), Ship Apes (H), Wafflers (A)

Steamers 18pts – Allsorts (H), Magpie Imps (A), Monsters (H), Alcotops (A)

Muckspreaders 17pts – Wafflers (A), Swankers (H), Plodders (A), Allsorts (H)

Plodders 16pts – Ship Apes (H), Wafflers (A), Muckspreaders (H), BYE

Section C run in – Ladettes promoted

With four weeks of fixtures to play Ladettes will be heading to Section B next season as they have a better head to head against both third placed Jokers and fourth placed Strugglers. The title is still up for grabs though as second placed Flingers could finish above Ladettes if the table toppers were to slip up, but if they were to tie on points it’s Ladettes who would be champions on their head to head. Jokers and Strugglers only chance of finishing second is if Flingers slipped up and either could win all their games.

Ladettes 38pts – Nomads (A), BYE, Mix Ups (H), Funseekers (A)
Flingers 34pts – Spares (A), Brewers Bees (H), Strugglers (A), Nomads (H)
Jokers 32pts – Easy Beats (A), BYE, Untouchables (A), Spares (H)
Strugglers 30pts – Mix Ups (H), Funseekers (A), Flingers (H), Misfits (A)

Secretaries Shield

The Secretaries Shield was won by Luke Short of Barmy Army beating Matthew Green of Breakaways in the final. Two 8’s and two 9’s left Luke needing just 3 to clinch the victory. Luke beat Steve Crewe of Misfits in the semi finals, while Matthew beat Stuart Montgomerie of Swankers.
