Top score in the Open League was C Hulkerston of Essentials with 78 at the Spitfire Club, Crossways. The highest team score was 474 by Barmy Army in their 20-pins victory over Essentials. The highest hand of the week came in Section C where Colliton Spares hit 79 on alley one at the Colliton Club. Phil Slade of Magpie Imps recorded the highest stick up of the season when he finished the match with a 25 stick up on alley one at the Colliton Club.
Top score in the Ladies League was Lauren Barnes of Crackerjacs with 51 on alley two at the Trinity Club. The highest team score was 365 by Crackerjacs in their 36-pins victory over Easy Beats. The highest hand was 64 by Vixens on alley two at the Trinity Club. The highest stick up was 13 by D Stewart of easy Beats.
In the rearranged league match at the Royal Oak, Bere Regis the Easy Beats became the first team to beat league leaders Oakettes this season.
Top scores in the Open League were Dave Wiltshire of Tom Brown Bullocks on alley one at the Colliton Club and Tony Hewitt of Brewers Bees with 75 on alley two at the Colliton Club. The highest team score was 463 by Wide Boys at the Goldies in their 45-pins victory over Half Pints in Section A. The highest hand was 81 by Hotshots in their Section B match on alley one at the Colliton Club, meanwhile in Section D Strugglers hit a hand of 80 at the Old Ship Inn, Upwey.
Top score in the Ladies League was Lisa Keegan of Trinity Mix Ups with 54 at the Three Compasses, Charminster. The highest team score was 375 by Woodpeckers in their 19-pins victory over Wonder Women on alley one at the Colliton Club. The highest hand was 59 by Breezers on alley one at the Trinity Club. The highest stick up was 13 by three players in the same match, S Hugo of Hot Cheese Stampers, and S Clark and L Keegan both of Trinity Mix ups.
In the Ladies Cup Vixens beat Crackerjacs by 5-pins on alley two at the Trinity Club. It was Jacs that led after four hands by 8-pins after two big stick ups early on from Sharon Rose (17) and Lauren Barnes (16). But a 62 from Vixens on the fifth hand tied the match and although it was Jacs that went into the last hand 3-pins up, Vixens turned it around hitting 58 on the last hand.
Top score in the Open league was Phil Hooper of Wareham Legionaires with 71 at the Spitfire Club, Crossways. The highest team score was 454 by Section C leaders Legionaires in their 64-pins victory over Rollers. The highest hand of the week was by Top Pins who started their match at the Goldies with 76.
Late card: Dewlish Monsters hit 461 at the Spitfire Club beating Essentials by 9-pins, although Essentials had hit 93 on the third hand, which is the highest hand of the season so far.
Top score in the Ladies League was Nikki of Vixens with 59 on alley two at the Trinity Club. The highest team score was 372 by Vixens as they beat league leaders Wonder Women by 13-pins, although it was Wonder Women who notched the highest hand of the week with 61.
Top score in the Open Legue was David Gage of Half Pints with 74 at the Goldies. The highest team score was 481 by Royal Oak Wanderers in their 35-pins victory away to Puddletown Wanderers at the Spitfire Club, Crossways. The Oak also notched the highest hand hitting 84.
Top score in the Ladies League was Kirsten Otter of Woodpeckers with 52 at Goldies. Wonder Women kept up their unbeaten run to stay top of the league hitting the highest team score of the week plus the highest hand, 358, and a 55 hand on alley one at the Colliton Club.
In the ladies cup Oakettes had a high scoring evening at the Royal Oak, Bere Regis. The home side beat Mix Ups by 87-pins hitting 461 which included a hand of 82. Clare Clarke was top score with 68 but the moment of the match came on the sixth hand when Nikki Coombs hit a 22 stick up.
Top score in the Open League was Alan Knight of Puddletown Wanderers at the Spitfire Club, Crossways with 79, this is the highest individual score of the season so far. The highest team score of the season was hit by Skimmers at the Wool Legion in their 43-pins victory over Breakaways. With just 3-pins in Skimmers favour after five hands the early season Section A leaders hit hands of 83 and 77 to win the match with ease, hitting 503. Skimmers hit two hands of 83 during the match, these were the highest hands of the week.
Top score in the Ladies League was Kelly Mitchell of Oakettes with 63 at the Royal Oak, Bere Regis which is the highest individual score the league so far this season. Oakettes were playing their first match at the Royal Oak since it reopened and beat Crackerjacs by 13-pins hitting 404 which is the highest team score of the season. Both teams played well and both recorded hands of 65. The Jacs 65 came on the fifth hand and left them trailing by just 3-pins. Oakettes pulled away on the sixth hand, 62-54 to go 11-pins up before finishing the match with 65 to win by 13-pins with Jacs also finishing strong with a 63 hand. Kelly’s stick up of 16 was the highest of the week.
Wonder Women won their first cup qualifying match beating Mix Ups away at the Trinity Club by 26-pins. The Colliton outfit hit 379, with just 6-pins between the teams Wonder Women finished the match with a 66 hand.
