Dewlish Monsters are heading back to Section A after Magpie Imps lost on Friday to Jolly Green Giants. The Monsters just missed out last season when they finished joint second with Vic Reeves who went up on the head to head between the teams, but this season Monsters have lost just five league matches and have been leading the way for a while. One of the most oldest names in Section A history, the Milborne outfit return to the top section after three seasons in Section B. The title is yet secured but Monsters have a 4 points lead over second placed Allsorts, although Allsorts do have a better head to head if the teams were to finish level on points.
Allsorts are now 4 points clear of the Magpie Imps and will clinch promotion if they beat Bullocks at home on Friday.
Dewlish Monsters 40pts – Giants (H), Steamers (A), Bullocks (H)
Trinity Allsorts 36pts – Bullocks (H), Swankers (A), Muckspreaders (A)
Colliton Magpie Imps 32pts – Steamers (H), Bullocks (A), Swankers (H)
At the bottom Hartstoppers are already relegated with just 6 points to their name. Plodders currently occupy the other relegation spot on 16 points and will be relegated if they fail to beat Wafflers away at Tom Browns on Friday as they have a worst head to head against Steamers the team just above them on 18 points. Muckspreaders are on 19 points and Yokels are on 21 points. Two teams are due for the drop and that yet may become three given that we lost a team out of Section C during the season.
Yokels 21pts – Country Boys (A), Ship Apes (H), Wafflers (A)
Muckspreaders 19pts – Swankers (H), Plodders (A), Allsorts (H)
Steamers 18pts – Magpie Imps (A), Monsters (H), Alcotops (A)
Plodders 16pts – Wafflers (A), Muckspreaders (H), BYE
