Breakaways stay three points in front of Barmy Army after a close win against bottom side Wanderers on Friday at Wool. After finishing runners up for the last three seasons the Breakaways need two wins from three games to take the title, and the Wool side have also beaten their challengers twice this season so would finish above them on a head to head. Barmy Army are 4 points in front of third placed Skimmers and would only miss out on the runners up spot if they were to finish level as Skimmers would beat them on a head to head. Both the top two face tricky away games this week, Breakaways play Wide Boys on Thursday, while Barmy Army face Vic Reeves on Friday.
Breakaways 45pts – Wide Boys (A), Imps (H), Patriots (A)
Barmy Army 42pts – Vic Reeves (A), Legionaires (H), Pudd Wand (A)
Skimmers 38pts – Wurzels (A), Hammers (H), Heathens (A)
The eight teams in the bottom half could still be relegated with many meeting each other in the final three weeks. Bottom team Puddletown Wanderers are all but down, although they do have a better head to head than Patriots who are 6 points above them. Swan Abbots occupy the other relegation place 2 points ahead of Wanderers and 4 points behind Heathens and Patriots so look the likely team to join Wanderers in Section B next season. With the possibility of three or four teams going down with the uncertainty of teams entering next season, it still leaves Half Pints, Wurzels, Woodmen and Imps all still needing wins to keep them out of the danger zone.
Colliton Imps 23pts – Woodmen (H), Breakaways (A), Essentials (H)
